This is one of my favorite recipes because it uses candy canes (or you can substitute peppermint candies if you can't find candy canes). Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 peppermint candy cane sticks (regular size) or 8 pieces of peppermint candy
1/2 cup olive oil
8 teaspoons milk
4 tablespoons honey
4 drops lemon essential oil
Blending Procedure:
- Place the candy canes in a plastic bag and seal. Using a hammer or other heavy utensil, smash the candy into small pieces -- each about the size of a large grain of salt. Pour most of the crushed candy into a large bowl, leaving a little bit behind for you to taste and enjoy.
- Add the sugar and olive oil and stir well to combine. Add the milk and stir again. Finally, add the honey and lemon essential oil and stir again to mix.
- You should have a grainy paste. To use, sit in a tub or shower, or over a large bowl, and scoop the scrub using your palms. Begin massaging your feet in circular motions to exfoliate and cleanse. Don''t forget to scrub the heels, between the toes and even up around your ankles. (Skip over broken skin.)
- This mixture is oily and so you will have to be especially careful that you do not slip in the tub. Place socks on and leave them on over night. In the morning, you will have new feet!
